Spike arrived in his new home with me 7 years ago on his 2nd birthday, February 14, 1999 via Doberman Rescue.
After introductions were made I sat on the couch and so did Spike. He had his bottom on the couch with his front legs on the floor. Since the day he arrived, he has never left my side. I don't even have to go to the bathroom alone.
Spike has no bad habits. Some people say he barks and whines too much in the car but after hiring 3 dog trainers and using every behavior modification device know to man or woman I have decided he really wants to be an opera singer. I try to never take him more than 4 miles from home: my ears can't stand his high notes.
Spike loves life; he loves company, human or canine. He loves the dog park where he proves he is a lover not a biter,\; just ask the owner of any blond or reddish blond dog. Male or female, he loves them all!
Spike is the second Doberman I have rescued. Like the rest of his breed, he is loyal, compassionate and so trust worthy. Dobies are like potato chips, you can’t have just one!
I want to thank all of you for the visits, cards and your loving thoughts and prayers for Spike. In December he was diagnosed with the big C. and given a month to live. Thanks to you, he is still with us and is still enjoying life. SallyTeitzel
